This Friday, April 17, the Friends of Easttown Library are celebrating their 50th anniversary with “A Golden Masquerade,” and you’re invited. It will take place between 7 and 10 pm and the Hilltop House in Devon. Guests are asked to don their most festive attire and wear a mask — or even full costume. Proceeds from the event will help support the nonprofit group as well as the Easttown Library and Information Center. A Golden Masquerade will feature:
- Hors d’Ouevres
- Open Bar & Whiskey Tasting
- Live Music & Dancing
- Photo Booth
- Magician
- Caricaturist
- Fortune Teller
- Raffle Prizes
Naturescapes is sponsoring this event in the hopes that it will help the Friends of Easttown Library continue their good work for the community. In 2014, the group was able to gift $31,000 to the library which sponsored children’s reading programs, large font books, e-books, the MasterFILE Premier database system, and music CDs. Throughout the year, volunteers at the Friends of Easttown Library raise funds through community services such as book sales, secure document shredding, the children’s Valentine’s Tea, the Jane Austen Film Festival, and the Easttown Mini-Golf event.
You can find more information about tickets and donations at the Easttown Library website. We hope to see you there!
