These Chester County clients were unhappy with their concrete paver walkway which they ‘inherited’ when they bought their house. Their existing landscape had several great elements, but many plants were improperly placed based on sun exposure and the current deer population in Berwyn.
We began their job by lifting the concrete paver walkway and replaced it with irregular flagstone with a variety of stone colors, adding warmth and a more welcoming feel. We were even able to lay the same irregular flagstone on the stoop and under the front pillars.
We then moved some existing plants and added others including perennials and spring flowering bulbs. The result gives this Berwyn family sequential blooms from early spring to late fall.
The last part of the job was to replace their existing walkway lighting with more subdued fixtures. The new lighting system has L.E.D. bulbs for improved light casting without calling attention to the fixture itself. In addition the aesthetics of the new fixtures, the L.E.D. bulbs will last many years longer than incandescent or halogen bulbs.
These clients were so thrilled with their new look they’ve had us return to improve other areas of their property.
