Natural Stone Retaining Walls
Retaining walls are great for properties where traditional walls crumble or falling debris is sometimes an issue. They’re also great, natural-looking support for any Main Line home. Retaining walls are made from pressure treated timber, flagstone, or fieldstone that is stacked rather than held together by mortar. Sometimes, retaining walls are also called “dry laid” walls. Naturescapes Landscape Specialists uses stones and boulders to build retaining walls. We can either bring our own supplies or use existing materials at your Main Line property. In the yard seen above, we added 11 tons of boulders to the slope and created the Irish grotto look that the owner requested.
Flagstone Retaining Walls on the Main Line
Although installing a retaining wall may seem like a big job to take on, it’s simple for the Naturescapes team. Also, sometimes it’s necessary to keep a sloping yard in place. It can even work for water mitigation purposes. We can take on an entire backyard makeover and add a new patio and pathway to work with the style of the retaining wall. After we finish one job, we’re often called back again to design other parts of the yard.
